Charleston Charm

The client for this project is a couple with multiple small dogs and no children who love to entertain. They were dissatisfied with their existing kitchen, which was poorly designed, had typical, economical, builder-grade cabinets, and lacked sufficient counter space. The old layout was cramped and created congestion when guests tried to access the porch and pool area.

We reconfigured the kitchen layout to improve its functionality for entertaining, including moving the cased opening to the dining room. Adding an impressive cooking wall with a hood featuring traditional Charleston cabinetry by Brookhaven, a spacious island, and ceiling details that complement other wood finishes in the home has transformed the space from cramped to stylish and fully functional.
